And I am back with another Keto Indian Chicken Curry recipe. It does not mean that I am on Keto J It means my daughter is visiting again and is still on a keto diet. Everyone wants to achieve their fitness goal and Ketogenic diet is the most trending weight loss diet right now. The ketogenic diet is commonly known as low-carb high-fat diet (LCHF diet). Differing from most weight loss diets and programs, a ketogenic diet works on the principle of consuming less of carbohydrates and more of fats. Those who love their butter, cream or cheese can follow this diet happily but as I am lactose intolerant they are all a big no-no for me.
You may wonder why Indian Keto recipes. Well, for one we do not get all the ingredients available off the shelf in the west plus we Indians cannot live too long without our spices and masala.
This simple Keto chicken curry is again from the Headbanger’s Kitchen.
Recipe for Keto Chicken Curry
250 gms Skinless Chicken pieces
1 tbsp Butter
50ml tomato puree
2 Cardamom1tsp Cumin
2 tbsp Cream
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
½ Coriander Powder
½ tsp Garam Masala Powder
Lime Juice (1/2 Lime)
1tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, lime juice, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala powder and coriander powder. Leave for 20-30minutes or even less.
Melt the butter in a pan and fry the onion
Add in the cumin seeds, cloves and cardamom and cook
Add in the ginger garlic paste and cook some more
Add in the tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes. Add water if needed. I did add a little water.
Transfer to a blender and blend.
In the same pan add butter and fry the marinated chicken.
After about 5 minutes of cooking deglaze with water and add the blended curry paste
Cover and cook for 10 minutes till chicken is cooked through
Garnish with coriander and fresh cream and serve.
Your Keto Chicken Curry is ready and you can just dig in!
