New year’s Eve for Singles

New year’s Eve for Singles

What are you doing New Year’s Eve? Is the oft-asked question starting around Christmas; guzzling beer, boogying away the night and making heartfelt resolutions you’ll forget when you wake up??

What do Singles do?

You can plan an evening out alone. Go to a favorite restaurant for a quiet meal, catch a movie, or visit your favorite pub where you may meet some interesting people.

I hate going out alone so I sit at home. Plan a nice evening home alone. You can either cook ( I cooked) or order takes out from your favorite restaurant, watch a favorite movie, indulge on a special dessert ( I gorged on chocolates). You could have a light dinner followed by a long soak in the tub, pampering yourself is good!  Light some aroma candle, play some soft music and feel divine.

There are other options.. Take an appointment with the best beauty saloon and treat yourself to a full body massage, manicure, and facial, take a sauna or go crazy and get a wild haircut.

On the plus side, if you end up sitting at home alone, you will have had a day of pleasurable decadence that will leave you rejuvenated, relaxed and ready for a good night’s sleep.

In the day you could go out for a nice brunch or lunch or an early dinner with a buddy.

Whatever you decide to do with this holiday, keep in mind its significance- a new beginning. An excellent time for a fresh start and set such goals that will pave the way to the changes you aspire for in your life..

The year’s end, is not an end nor a beginning but it is a moving forward. This is how I see it.

New Year’s Eve is like every other night; the universe doesn’t stop, time doesn’t stand still even for a second that remind you of the passage of another twelve months.

Let go of the last year into the silence of the past. Renounce it if it was imperfect, and don’t forget to thank God that it has passed.

Thomas Mann wisely says, “Time has no divisions to mark its passage, there is never a thunder-storm or blare of trumpets to announce the beginning of a new month or year.  Even when a new century begins it is only we mortals who ring bells and fire off pistols.  ~

All you singles out there…Eat drink and be merry! Have a relaxed, pleasant and productive New Year!

My dinner tonight……

My harmless poison…Mint-lemon-iced tea

Baby corn on a bed of Hakka Noodles

Yummy but sinful chocolates!
